Almost from the opening of our studio, twenty five years ago, we were commissioned to design and make hand-blown tableware for Calvin Klein in the United States and lighting for Ochre in London. Today, we continue our creative journey and collaborations with companies including The New Craftsmen, Toogood and Perfumer H delivering new design concepts and repeat orders.
We are the only glass-blowing studio in the UK using optical quality recycled glass.Our raw coloured glass material is 98% recycled optical and our raw clear glass material is 100% recycled optical.
Shot by BAFTA Award Winner film-maker Ian Denyer and commissioned by the BBC, this 30-minute film shot with no narrative using only the sound of the working glass workshop. The film shows making one glass piece from the Michael Ruh Collection – The Summer Pitcher, from the opening of firing up of the heating drum to the finished work.
